Abigail DeVille is a site-specific installation artist that exhibits across the United States and Europe. DeVille received an MFA from Yale University and a BFA from the Fashion Institute of Technology. She is the recipient of the 2014-15 fellowship at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University, the 2015 Creative Capital grant, and the 2015 OBIE Award for Design. DeVille is the 2017-18 Chuck Close Henry W. and Marion T. Mitchell Rome Prize fellow.
DeVille’s work has been exhibited at venues including the Institute of Contemporary Art Miami; the Whitney Museum of American Art; the Institute of Contemporary Art Los Angeles; the Studio Museum in Harlem, New York; the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, PA; the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City; Cooper Gallery at Hutchins Center, Harvard University, Cambridge; Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis; and the Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation, New York, to name a few. She has designed sets for theatrical productions at venues such as the Stratford Festival (2014), Harlem Stage (2016), La Mama (2015), JACK (2014-16), and Joe’s Pub (2014).

Markonish edited the books Teresita Fernández: Wayfinding (DelMonico/Prestel) and 50 Years of RISD Glass: Wonder, and with Susan Cross co-edited Sol LeWitt: 100 Views (Yale University Press). She has taught at Williams College and the Rhode Island School of Design and was the fall 2016 curator for Artpace’s International Artist-in-Residence Program in San Antonio, Texas.
Lisa Sigal is an artist based in Brooklyn. Utilizing and expanding upon notions of space, she combines painting with architecture to investigate how art can challenge set ideas about property, containment, and freedom. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at The Whitney Museum Biennial 2008, The New Museum, MoMa/PS1 Museum, The Sculpture Center, the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, The Albright Knox, the Brooklyn Museum, Prospect .3 International Biennial in New Orleans, the DeCordova Museum in Boston, the Essl Museum in Vienna, LAXART space in Los Angeles, Samson Projects in Boston and the 2016 Anyang Public Art Project, Seoul Korea among other venues. Currently she is working on a MTA Public Art Commission. She is a 2015 Anonymous Was A Woman grantee, 2012 Art Matters Foundation grantee, a Creative Capital grantee, a 2011 Guggenheim Fellowship awardee, among other awards. She received a BFA from the Tyler School of Art in 1985 and an MFA from the Yale School of Art in 1989. She is one of the founding artists of Blights Out, an initiative based in New Orleans which is designing new models for neighborhood development that generates art, action and dialogue to challenge displacement, blight and gentrification. Sigal is currently curating Open Sessions, a hybrid residency/exhibition program for artists at The Drawing Center.
