Join us on Thursday 4/5/12 from 6pm-9pm at the Fleisher Ollman Gallery for the opening of an exhibition of the work of Billy and Steven Dufala. The Dufala Brothers’s solo show includes several new sculptural pieces made through RAIR. The show will be up through 5/12/12, so be sure to stop through before then.
A Biggie Shorty is a big project done in a short period of time. Among other things, these projects encourage artists to experiement with materials and explore new work. We’ve been testing out this concept on some mini Biggie Shorties. Check out the projects Lauren Ruth, Michael Konrad, and Tim Eads have done. We’re hoping to launch a whole series of Biggie Shorties. The Delaware Center for Contemporary Art in Wilmington is exhibiting New Work by the Dufala Brothers, which includes a piece made entirely at RAIR’s studio space. The site specific sculpture is made from salvaged duct work and other household items and materials. The exhibit will be open February 10 through May 13, 2012.
