Abigail DeVille: pilot
Abigail DeVille has completed a short residency at RAIR. The Hooverville Torqued Ellipse is meticulously crafted from recycled materials and was built in RAIR’s studio space. The piece was on display with Marginal Utility Gallery at the Institute for Contemporary Art in Philadelphia summer of 2012. After the exhibit closed, the project was put back in the waste stream and recycled at Revolution Recovery.
Abigail has also sourced materials and worked with RAIR for several of her other large scale installations, including the Haarlem Tower of Babel shown at the Studio Museum in Harlem.
