Alexander Rosenberg used his time at RAIR to design and create a protective and functional uniform that could be worn while carrying out his fieldwork in the yard. Alex wore this uniform to explore the yard and work on conducting a comprehensive field guide that included information on where the most useful materials are located in the yard, flora and fauna surrounding the site, and information for a specific type of bushcraft that could exist around the site. Alex also created a series of “discreet tools” that allowed him to collect information for his field guide including a modified Herman Miller Aeron chair made entirely out of picked goods which held binoculars and an umbrella. He also fabricated animal traps, a water filtration device, and a device for starting fires.
