Eugenio Salas used his time at RAIR to conduct a socially engaged performance in collaboration with Revolution Recoveries laborers. Together they designed and fabricated a cooking sculpture which was used to cook and prepare a team meal made by one of the workers at Revolution Recovery. Collaborating with grassroots Latina journalist ______, Eugenio conducted a series of story telling sessions as well as photo based portraits with the laborers on the yard. This collaboration provided a bridge of communication between the residency and the space it inhabits which crossed language and cultural barriers to join in a communal space clebrating the power of food and story telling.
