A Site to be Seen: Concepts for and from the Superfund is a project designed to frame and introduce the varied ecological, artistic, social and cultural potentials of the remediated Superfund site known as Metal Bank which is adjacent to RAIR. The Metal Bank Site, a former scrap metal salvage facility, was contaminated with PCBs in the 1970s.
Through a series of commissioned newsprint broadsides, a group of artists and practitioners produced these accompanying Site Responses addressing concepts of maintenance, preservation and remediation and sustainability.
The Site Responses are printed on 15 x 22” newsprinT and will be available at our 10.3.21 event and a limited edition online.
